UK UNDER PRESSURE OVER 2M RULE

The UK government is under growing pressure from business to ease its social distancing guidelines from 2 metres to 1 metre.

Entrepreneurs say that could save thousands of jobs as the economy starts to reopen.

The government says pubs, restaurants and nightclubs won't be opening before July 4th.

But current distancing guidelines will require all customers to be 2 metres apart from each other.

Pompeo criticises HSBC's support of Beijing's Hong Kong security law

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has criticised London-based bank HSBC for supporting Beijing's proposed security law in Hong Kong.

In a statement he called HSBC's stance a "show of fealty" that "seems to have earned HSBC little respect in Beijing".

George Floyd's family pay tribute to him at his funeral (wrap)

George Floyd's brother has told the congregation at his funeral that his death will change the world.

Russia donates $3m to boost the Desert Locust Response in Uganda

The Russian Federation has contributed Three Million US dollars ($3million) to Uganda, to boost to the Desert Locust response.
