6th Day of Protests across the US

Protests sparked by the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis have continued for a 6th day across the United States.

 

The National Guard has been deployed in more than 25 states with Mayors implementing curfews to try and prevent escalations between police and protestors.

Los Angeles wakes to state of emergency after violent protests

George Floyd protests continue in US for 5th day

The United States is going into the fifth night of protests following
the death of an unarmed African American at the hands of white police
officers in Minneapolis on Monday.

George Floyd's death has sparked outrage across the US with protests
in some major cities turning violent.

Protesters were out in Washington DC on Saturday to voice their anger
at President Donald Trump who they say has tweeted inflammatory
remarks that have incited violence and done little to calm the
tensions.

Trump ends special Hong Kong treatment over Beijing security law

US President Donald Trump has announced he's eliminating America's
preferential treatment of Hong Kong following China's decision to
impose a new security law on the city.

In a list of actions against Beijing he said he would sanction any
officials he deemed were "eroding Hong Kong's autonomy", and stop

UK FINANCE MINISTER LAYS OUT PLANS TO END FURLOUGH SCHEME

The UK chancellor says the Government's furlough scheme will be phased out, month-by-month, until the end of October.

7 people shot in Louisville during protests against police shooting

Seven people have been shot in the U.S. city of Louisville [PRON Loo-ee-vil] during protests over the fatal shooting of African American Breonna Taylor.

Row between Twitter and President Trump escalates over Minneapolis tweet

Twitter has escalated its row with U.S. President Donald Trump by hiding one of his tweets for the first time, saying it breaks the rules on glorifying violence.

Monkeys in India attack lab technician and steal blood test samples

In a bizarre incident, a group of monkeys attacked a lab technician from the Meerut Medical College and stole blood samples of some patients collected for routine tests.
