French parliament approves use of track-and-trace app

Politicians in France have approved a bill to allow a track-and-trace app to be brought in to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The proposed legislation is now set to be formally announced by the prime minister on Thursday as he sets out the next phase of relaxing the lockdown in France.

UK TEST AND TRACE SYSTEM LAUNCHES

UK Health secretary Matt Hancock says it's people's 'civic duty' to co-operate with a new coronavirus test and trace regime being rolled out (on Thursday).

The NHS system is going live with 25-thousand contact tracers recruited.

Their job will be to trace everyone who's come close to a Covid-19 sufferer - and tell them to self-isolate for 14-days, even if they have no symptoms.

Russia to alter coronavirus classification

Coronavirus to cut tourist spending by $22 billion in Japan: think tank

Boeing to lay off more than 12,000 employees due to pandemic

US Coronavirus death toll passes 100k mark

The number of coronavirus deaths in the United States has passed the 100 thousand mark according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The US has the highest number of infections and deaths than any other country in the world.

Space X historic launch cancelled

Poor weather has meant the cancellation of the first manned Space X
flight to the International Space Station.

The planned launch from Florida's Kennedy Space Center would have

Huawei exec Meng Wanzhou loses bid for freedom, as Canada mulls US extradition

A judge in Canada has delivered a major blow to China’s Meng Wanzhou, ruling that extradition proceedings against the Huawei executive should proceed.

The British Columbia Supreme Court found that the fraud charges leveled against Meng Wangzhou by American prosecutors would also be considered a crime in Canada - clearing the way for extradition proceedings to continue.

EU Commission presents proposals to rescue crippled economies

Space X Set to Launch

Space X is set to launch its first crew into orbit…. scheduled to lift off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center at 4:33 in the afternoon local time.
