18,000 people seriously ill in Moscow

About eighteen thousand people are seriously ill in hospitals in Moscow, according to the city's mayor. Russia has the second largest outbreak of coronavirus in the world, and the capital has been the hardest hit. Lucy Taylor reports.

Japan considers lifting state of emergency in Osaka

Trump Administration awards $354 million contract to produce medicines in the US

The Trump administration has given a $354 million dollar contract to a company in Virginia in a bid to reduce the US's reliance on other nations for its pharmaceuticals.

Franco-German COVID19 recovery fund meets opposition from northern EU countries

Austria, Denmark and The Netherlands have pushed back against a Franco-German plan for a recovery fund worth worth €500 billion ($543.7 billion), during a teleconference of finance ministers on Tuesday.
