Coronavirus Causes Extreme Drop in Carbon Emissions

Coronavirus lockdowns have caused an extreme effect on global carbon emissions. 

An international team os scientists says emissions dropped by 17 percent globally during April.

US Treasury Secretary warns of "permanent damage" to US economy if restrictions continue too long

Franco-German COVID19 recovery fund meets opposition from northern EU countries

Austria, Denmark and The Netherlands have pushed back against a Franco-German plan for a recovery fund worth worth €500 billion ($543.7 billion), during a teleconference of finance ministers on Tuesday. 

The fund was announced during a joint press conference delivered by German and French leaders Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

Highest death rates in NYC seen in poorest neighborhoods

EU and other countries back calls for an independent COVID19 inquiry at World Health Assembly

The European Union and other countries have called for an independent evaluation of the World Health Organisation's (WHO) response to the coronavirus pandemic.

FBI: link between al-Qaida and Saudi gunman in U.S. air base attack


The FBI says it's found a link between al-Qaida and the Saudi gunman who attacked a U.S. military base in Florida.
