Trump ends press conference abruptly after clashing with journalists

President Trump abruptly ended a news briefing at the White House after clashing with two journalists.

In the latest briefing he set out to praise his team's work on coronavirus testing and express confidence in the reopening of the country.

However it came just as the administration was forced to order staff to wear masks in the West Wing after several people in the White House tested positive for Covid-19.

U.S. Justice Department considers federal hate crime charges in Ahmaud Arbery case


The U.S. Justice Department is exploring federal hate crime charges in relation to the death of Ahmaud Arbery.

The 25-year-old African American man was killed while out jogging in a small town in Georgia in February, with cellphone video of his death sparking a national outcry.

Interpol issues arrest warrant for US diplomat's wife over British teen killing

Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for Anne Sacoolas- the wife of an American diplomat who is accused of killing a British teenager in a reckless driving accident in the UK.

Anne Sacoolas left the UK shortly after the crash that killed 19 year old Harry Dunn last August, and invoked diplomatic immunity.

The issue has been a sticking point in US-UK relations ever since.

UK GOVERNMENT ADVISES USE OF FACE COVERINGS

European countries easing lockdown restrictions as COVID19 numbers fall

Belgium is slowly lifting lockdown measures, with shops reopening on Monday with strict social distancing measures in place. 

Cafes and restaurants can start to reopen from the 8th June. 

It comes as other countries like France and Spain take steps to loosen confinement measures imposed since March.

Uganda Sets Up Mobile labs at Border Points to Test For COVID-19

Uganda has announced it will begin testing truck drivers for COVID-19 starting this week from it's border with Kenya and Tanzania.

The East African country has been grappling with increasing cases of COVID-19 imported from neighboring countries by cargo drivers.

Over 40 cargo drivers have tested positive of COVID-19, many of them Kenya and Tanzania.

Shops can open but restaurants remain closed as France eases lockdown

For the first time since the lockdown began in France on March 17, all shops are now able to re-open - as long as customers practise social distancing inside.

Primary schools can re-open as well but restaurants, cafes and bars must stay closed across the country until at least the start of June.

6 migrants die after the truck they were in overturns

In India, at least six migrant workers died and 14 injured after their truck overturned in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

UK SETS OUT MORE 'ROADMAP' DETAILS

The UK is setting out further details of its new 'roadmap' for the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures.

Only small changes are being made to the rules for now - but under the new plan, restrictions will be able to be lifted when key milestones are met.
