China Launches Labour Campaign for Graduates

China has started a 100 day campaign to help young people entering the labour market find jobs.

It comes as the country faces immense pressure over unemployment as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Markets up as pace of unemployment benefit claims slows

The major U.S. indexes posted strong gains on Thursday despite news
that more than three million Americans filed for unemployment benefits
last week.

Investors are optimistic that the pace of job losses in the country
appears to be slowing.

White House dismisses CDC guidance on reopening

The Trump administration has dismissed CDC guidance on reopening the country saying it was "overly specific" and has asked for revisions.

California faces $54B budget deficit

In bombshell announcement, Justice Department drops case against Gen. Michael Flynn

The US Justice Department is dropping the prosecution of General Michael Flynn, President Trump's former National Security Adviser who pleaded guilty to charges of lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials.

General Flynn resigned from the Trump administration in February 2017, after also being accused of lying to Vice President Mike Pence about his communications with the Russian Ambassador to the United States.

President Trump has for years accused the FBI of engaging in a witch-hunt against General Flynn, and our Washington Correspondent Simon Marks says the dropping of the case will raise questions about the independence of the Justice Department.

Children of Miners in DR Congo Exposed to Copper and Cobalt Toxins

BANK OF ENGLAND FORECASTS GREATEST DROP IN GDP FOR 300 YEARS

Floods, Landslides Kill 194 in Kenya
