The speaker of the National Assembly Job Ndugai has suspended parliamentary sessions following the death of yet another member of parliament. The latest MP to pass on is the minister for constitutional affairs Augustino Mahiga. Bringing the number of members of parliament up to 3 in just 10 days.

Millions of children risk missing vaccines

India extends lockdown by two weeks

The Indian government has said the nationwide lockdown in place since the last week of March will now be extended for another two weeks. Slated to end on May 3, it will now likely be lifted on May 17.

BIDEN DENIES ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS

Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden has categorically denied that he ever sexually assaulted a former aid, Tara Reade, telling MSNBC's  'Morning Joe' " it never happened".

Tara Reade's allegation, that the former Vice President assaulted her while she worked for him as a staff assistant in 1993, has been corroborated by a former colleague and a former neighbour in recent days.

Meghan vs Mail: paper wins first court battle

The publisher of the Mail on Sunday has won the first High Court battle in the Duchess of Sussex's privacy claim against it over publication of a letter to her estranged father.

 

In a ruling on Friday, Mr Justice Warby struck out parts of Meghan's case, following an application by Associated Newspapers at a hearing last week.

Heathrow passengers down almost 100%, as Ryanair cuts jobs, and Wizz Air returns to the skies from London

London's Heathrow Airport, the busiest in Europe, says it expects passenger numbers to be down by around 97% in April, and they're likely to remain low until governments fighting the coronavirus outbreak deem it safe to travel.

India struggles to bring COVID-19 cases under control

With two days to go till India's 40-day lockdown comes to an end, the number of coronavirus cases has crossed the 35,000 mark. Over 1100 people have died of coronavirus in India as well.

India saw nearly 2000 cases in the last 24 hours, with many asking if the lockdown had helped at all.

Losses on Wall Street following ugly jobs data

Consumer Spending: Steepest Monthly Decline
