TANZANIA’S NATIONAL AIRLINE LOSSES REVENUE DUE TO CORONA

At the moment the airline's management is yet to record the loss that would be directly caused by Covid-19 but following the cancellations of the China trip, they have lost revenues between 2 to 3 percent of its contributions to the company.

Trump measures do little to reassure Wall St

President Trump's travel restrictions and economic proposals, amid the

Containment zone takes hold in NY city

The US National Guard has been deployed to New Rochelle just north of
New York City.

It's seen the biggest concentration of Covid-19 cases in the United States.

The national guard is working to provide food and cleaning services
for the community in a bid to halt the outbreak.

World Athletics fines Russia

Ghana bans foreign travel for government officials.

Ghana's President has temporarily suspended all foreign travel for government officials. 
It's part of efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the West African nation, which currently has no confirmed cases.      
Ghana is on high alert after three of its neighbouring countries recorded positive cases of the disease, the latest being Burkina Faso.

UK government to step up coronavirus response

The British government is preparing to step up its response to the coronavirus outbreak. 

 

The UK is set to switch to tactics aimed at delaying its spread, rather than containing it.

 

It comes after the World Health Organization labelled the outbreak of the disease as a pandemic.

Europe reacts to bombshell US travel ban due to COVID-19

Global stocks have tumbled after the US suspended travel from Europe and the coronavirus outbreak was declared a pandemic. 

President Trump said in his Oval Office address that restrictions for travellers from Europe will begin on Friday at midnight, and will last for 30 days.

The measures won't apply to US citizens or travellers from the UK.

The UK is set to announce new measures to try and slow the spread of coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is chairing an emergency COBRA meeting on Covid-19 on Thursday.

Italy closes all bars and restaurants in attempt to stop spread of COVID-19

Coronavirus: US halts travel from Europe to US

To slow the spread of coronavirus, US President Donald Trump is
halting all travel from Europe to America.

The 30-day ban comes after new cases and deaths skyrocketed in Italy,
with the Italian government putting the country on lockdown.

President Trump also said he'd ask the US Congress to release $50
billion dollars of funding to provide low-interest loans, and cut
payroll taxes to bolster the economy.

He laid out the travel ban as a crucial way to stop the virus spreading further.
