Men convicted of 2012 Delhi rape to hang this month

Four men convicted of the 2012 gang-rape and murder of a student in Delhi are due to be hanged on 20th March.

This is the fourth death warrant for the men that has been issued in a case that sparked nationwide protests and forced the country to strengthen its anti-rape laws.

UK CONSIDERS CORONAVIRUS 'DELAY' OPTIONS

The UK's parliament could reportedly be shut for up to five months to prevent MPs spreading the coronavirus.

Officials are said to be in talks about the possibility, if Covid-19 starts to spread rapidly.

The number of cases in the UK rose to 87 on Wednesday - the biggest day-on-day increase so far.

It's reported the UK could imminently move to the so-called 'Delay' phase of its strategy, which will see authorities considering contingency responses like possible school closures.

US lawmakers give bipartisan backing to $8.3Bln coronavirus fund

The US House of Representatives passed a bill on Wednesday that will provide over $8 billion dollars for the effort to combat the coronavirus outbreak

LA County Declares Health Emergency

Los Angeles County has declared a health emergency, announcing six new cases of the coronavirus there. That brings the total of reported cases of the virus in the United States to more than 130, with the highest number of cases in California.

Ethiopia and the United States are accusing each other of being " undiplomatic" in a row over the controversial construction of a major dam on the River Nile.

This follows a decision by Ethiopia not to participate in US led talks with Egypt and Sudan held on 27th and 28th February in Washington.

Germany bans protective mask exports over coronavirus fears

UN Human rights head to appeal against the citizenship law at the Supreme Court

TWO MORE COVID-19 CASES IN UK

Another two cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Scotland - taking the UK's total to 53.

The UK government is launching a public health campaign to encourage people to wash their hands more.

Hospitals are also being urged to carry out more video-based consultations.

The government has warned the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK is likely to spread much further.
