Trade talks kick off in Brussels in phase one of EU-UK trade negotiations

Three years after the UK voted to leave the European Union, trade talks have begun in Brussels. 

The UK and the EU have just nine months to thrash out the terms of the future trade agreement - with the deadline at the end of the year.

North Korea Launches Two Missiles

North Korea has launched two projectiles from a town off its east coast.

Second Covid-19 death in the United States

First round of UK/EU trade talks begin in Brussels

Clashes between migrants at Greek-Turkish border as thousands attempt to cross into Europe

Europe is facing the possibility of another migrant crisis, following Turkey's decision to reopen its western border into Europe.

There have been clashes at the Greek-Turkish land border as thousands tried to push into the country overnight.

France's Louvre museum remains closed amid coronavirus fears

UK-US and UK-EU trade talks kick-off

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is pledging to "drive a hard bargain" as he set out his country's negotiating position for a free trade deal with the United States. 

 

The government claims a deal would boost the UK economy by more than $4bn USD. The USA is the UK's largest trading partner after the EU, accounting for nearly 20% of all exports and more than 10% of imports.

India's largest public sector bank to launch IPO for its payment and card services
