African countries establish joint intelligence headquarters



Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari joined President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed and other African leaders on Sunday to inaugurate the headquarters of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services (CISSA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a pledge to intensify security cooperation.

Funerals begin after 30 killed Thai mass shooting

In Thailand, funerals to honor two policeman killed in the line of duty over the weekend will move through Bangkok's streets on Monday, flanked by an honor guard.

29 people died and 50 remain were injured after a Thai soldier went on a shooting spree.

Security forces shot him dead after a 17-hour standoff with police at a mall, 250 km north east of the capital, on Sunday.

Key impeachment witness against trumped escorted from White House by security

One of the key witnesses who testified at the impeachment investigation of President Trump has been fired from his job at the White House and escorted by security out of the building.


Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman told Congress that he was surprised and alarmed when he heard President Trump pressure the Ukrainian leader to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, the man who hopes to be the Democrats' candidate in this November's US election.

Kenya's Giant 'Tusker' Elephant Dies At 50
