Chartered Jet Carrying Americans from China Lands in U.S.


A chartered plane carrying more than 200 U.S. citizens from China landed in California Wednesday,  after all of its passengers underwent rigorous health screening in Alaska overnight. All of them, cleared of the deadly coronavirus, which has now affected nearly 6,000 people.  It comes as more foreign governments look to airlift their citizens out of Wuhan, the epicenter of the illness.

British Airways suspends flights to and from China

British Airways has suspended flights to and from mainland China in response to the outbreak of coronavirus.


The UK government has already advised against all travel there, unless essential.

EU Parliament to stage historic Brexit vote with the treaty expected to clear its final hurdle

French plane heads to Wuhan to evacuate EU citizens

France is sending a plane on Wednesday to evacuate several hundred of its citizens from Wuhan, along with dozens from other EU countries.

The health ministry has said returnees will be kept in a holding facility in Paris for several days - the estimated incubation period for coronavirus.

Germany confirms three new coronavirus infections

Germany's health ministry said three more people in the country have the coronavirus, bringing the total to four.


The news comes as the country prepares for the evacuation of around ninety German nationals from China.

Russian regions close borders to China

Roommate backs Weinstein accuser sexual assault story

The roommate of a woman that claims to have been sexually assaulted by
