India prepares to evacuate its citizens from Wuhan

The Indian government says its preparing to evacuate its citizens from Wuhan - the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.

Reports suggest that over 200 Indians are stranded in Wuhan.

Trump unveils Israeli peace plan (wrap)

US President Donald Trump has unveiled his long-awaited Middle East peace plan, promising to keep Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital.

Standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, he proposed an independent Palestinian state and the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over West Bank settlements.

Roommate backs Weinstein accuser sexual assault story

The roommate of a woman that claims to have been sexually assaulted by
Harvey Weinstein has corroborated her testimony.

On Monday Mimi Haleyi told jurors that the media mogul sexually
assaulted her in a Manhattan apartment in 2006.

Weinstein has pleaded not guilty to five felony charges and could face
up to life in prison.

US expands coronavirus screening to 15 more airports

Fifteen more airports in the United States are to start screening
passengers from China for signs of coronavirus.

Americans are now being advised against traveling to China after five
people were diagnosed with the illness in the US.

Trump Set to Release Middle East Peace Plan

The UK has decided to allow development of 5G infrastructure by Chinese telecoms giant Huawei, despite pressure against such a move from the US.

Washington has warned of repercussions to intelligence sharing if development goes ahead, and Beijing has threatened trade and investment repercussions if it does not.

UK government told to lower immigration salary threshold

The British government has been advised to drop the salary threshold for immigrants coming into the UK after Brexit. 


Skilled migrants from outside the European Union currently need to have a job offer with a minimum salary of £30,000, the equivalent of almost $40,000. 


But the Migration Advisory Committee says that should fall by more than £4,000 in order to help recruit teachers and skilled medical staff.

Jeffrey Epstein accusers outraged by Prince Andrew's lack of co-operation

A lawyer representing women who claim they were abused by Jeffrey Epstein has urged Prince Andrew to co-operate with an investigation into the disgraced financier.


Lisa Bloom says the alleged victims are "outraged" and "disappointed" by the Duke of York's decision not to assist the US authorities.


It comes after the prosecutor in charge of the investigation admitted that the Duke had provided "zero cooperation" so far, despite his association to Mr Epstein.

Armed Groups Kill 200 People in East DR Congo

A charity organisation that monitors armed conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo says nearly 200 people were killed in violence last month.
