US Imposes Fresh Sanctions on Iraq
The US is imposing fresh sanctions on Iran.
The penalties come days after Iran fired missiles at US targets in Iraq. That was in retaliation for an American airstrike in Baghdad that killed Iran's top military leader.

EU foreign ministers are holding emergency talks on the Iran crisis on Friday in Brussels, amidst tensions between Washington and Tehran.
The talks involve foreign ministers from all 28 EU member states, joined by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
The meeting comes amid speculation from Western officials that a Ukrainian passenger plane was shot down in error by an Iranian missile.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has spoken with the President of Ukraine… expressing his condolences following the crash of a Ukrainian jetliner Wednesday which killed all 176 people on board.
Ukrainian President Zelensky says he appreciates the U.S. support, and that all information obtained will help with their investigation.

US Intelligence: crashed Ukrainian Airlines plane struck by 2 Iranian missiles
US President Donald Trump has indicated that he believes a Ukrainian Airlines jet that crashed in Tehran in the early hours of Tuesday morning may have been mistakenly shot down by Iranian missiles.
