US and China Agree to Deal in Principle

The US and China have reportedly settled on final terms of the first phase of a trade deal. 

News of the deal pushed Wall Street share markets to a record high.

Boston Bomber death sentence appeal begins

Lawyers representing the Boston marathon bomber are laying out their
case for why a death sentence should be overturned.

Russia expels two German diplomats in row over links to murder

Russia has expelled two German diplomats in what it's described as a 'standard retaliatory move' after two Russian diplomats were sent back from Germany last week.

Germany's move to expel the Russians came over what it said was Moscow's refusal to co-operate in the investigation of a murder in August of a Chechen separatist in Berlin.

Violent protests break out in Eastern India, Government shuts down internet

Israeli woman appeals Russian drug smuggling charges

Congress debates articles of impeachment

US lawmakers held a rare evening session on Wednesday as the House Judiciary Committee worked towards voting on articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

U.S. Federal Reserve keeps interest rates steady


The U.S. Federal Reserve is holding rates steady, leaving its benchmark lending rate at 1.5 to 1.75 percent after its final policy meeting of 2019.
