U.S. State Department says over 1000 people killed since Iran protests began


The U.S. State Department says more than 1000 people in Iran may have been killed after weeks of unrest in the country.

That's as the United Nations accused Iranian security forces of using "severe violence" to put down protests.

Former British Prime Minister says people should vote AGAINST his own party

Former British Prime Minister Sir John Major is urging people to re-elect now independent MPs who were expelled from the Conservatives, rather than voting for the party he led for seven years. 


Sir John, who was Conservative Prime Minister between 1990 and 1997, is a long-standing critic of the government's Brexit plans.

Uber Sends Shockwaves as it Releases U.S. Safety Report

Burundi Landslides Kill 26

US jobs data smashes expectations

The US added 266,000 jobs to the economy in November, a particularly
strong set of figures that far exceeded expectations.

British woman "brought back to life" after heart stopped for six hours

A British woman whose heart stopped beating for six hours has been brought back to life in what doctors have described as an "exceptional case."


Audrey Schoeman developed severe hypothermia when she was caught in a snowstorm while hiking in Spain with her husband. 


Doctors say it is the longest cardiac arrest ever recorded in the country.
