Russia confirms attendance at Ukraine peace summit in Paris

Vladimir Putin's spokesman has confirmed that Russia will take part in the planned summit looking for solutions to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

The Russian president will join his counterparts from France, Germany and Ukraine in Paris on 9 December.

Scathing reaction to Prince Andrew interview

Prince Andrew, the son of Queen Elizabeth II, is said to be standing by his decision to take part in an interview about his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. 


The Duke of York's one-on-one with the BBC, which aired worldwide on Saturday, has been described as a "car crash." In the interview, the Prince denied having sex with a then 17-year-old girl. 


A lawyer for some of Mr Epstein's alleged victims urged Prince Andrew to talk under oath to the US authorities.

Russia starts production of S-400 missile defence systems for India

Russia has launched the production of its S-400 missile defense systems for India, with the delivery expected to take place by 2025.

This comes after Turkey faced criticism from its NATO partners after also agreeing to purchase the Russian-built system.

PRINCE ANDREW UNDER PRESSURE OVER INTERVIEW

Britain's Prince Andrew is under growing pressure over an interview about links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Buckingham Palace sources say the Queen did not give approval for the BBC interview which was broadcast on Saturday.

Prince Andrew is understood to stand by the decision to do the interview in which he categorically denied having sex with a 17 year-old girl.

The interview has been widely described as a 'car crash'.

Trump tweets Kim telling him to "act quickly" on denuclearisation talks

Russian military take control of Syrian airfield abandoned by US forces

The Russian military has taken control of a Syrian airfield that was left when US forces began their recent withdrawal that was ordered by President Trump.
