DOWNING ST DENIES BREXIT DEAL HAMPERS US-UK TRADE PACT

The UK government says the Brexit agreement negotiated with Brussels WILL allow a trade deal to be reached with the United States.

It comes after President Donald Trump suggested Boris Johnson's Brexit deal would hamper the chances of a US-UK trade pact.

President Trump gave a radio interview in which he also suggested opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn would be a bad choice for Britain.

Labour says he is 'interfering' in the UK's general election.

The government is also being forced to push back on another of President Trump's suggestions: that the Conservatives should enter an alliance with Nigel Farage's Brexit Party.

Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick says that's not going to happen.
