UK PM URGES U.S. TO WAIVE DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY AFTER CAR CRASH SUSPECT FLEES

The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has urged the US to reconsider its decision to maintain diplomatic immunity for a suspect who fled the UK.

Anne Sacoolas, the wife of a US diplomat, left the country despite being a suspect in a fatal collision.

Arrests made over Extinction Rebellion Protest in London

Over 100 people have been arrested (update with latest figures) in London, as climate emergency group Extinction Rebellion have taken to the streets in the capital, as part of their international demonstration.


Activists are shutting down major roads and bridges, causing transport chaos and say they will occupy London for two weeks.

Tanzanian cashew nut board meets with industry's players .

The cashew nut board of Tanzania is holding a meeting with the industry's players to discuss the current crop season that is coming to an end.

Tanzania cashew nut industry faced a challenging last season after private buyers offered a sub-standard rate resulting in the government purchasing more than 220,000 tons of the crop with the intention to export the crop internationally.

Ghanaian exporters accuse Nigeria of unfair trade as it closes borders


Ghanaian exporters are accusing their West African neighbor, Nigeria of unfair trade practices following the closure of its borders. The exporters say their goods have been left stranded at the Benin border to Nigeria.  The situation comes as Africa looks to open up its market for the export of goods and services through the continental free trade agreement.

BREXIT TALKS RESUME IN BRUSSELS

Brexit talks are resuming in Brussels (Monday) with French President Emmanuel Macron warning a decision needs to be made this week on whether a deal is possible.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is telling the EU Britain won't delay Brexit beyond October 31st, even though he may be required to do so by law.

Britain put forward new Brexit proposals last week but the European Union says they don't meet the requirements for a deal.

Second whistleblower will file national security complaint against President Trump

A second whistleblower has come forward to accuse President Trump of putting US national security at risk during a phone conversation with the President of Ukraine.


The second intelligence official is said by his lawyer to have more "direct information" about the phone call and President Trump's demand that Ukraine investigate Democratic Party front-runner Joe Biden ahead of next year's election.

Paris police attacker had psychotic episode the previous night
