Ethiopia to assist take deceased Israeli back home


Intro

 

Ethiopia says it will help take home the body of an Israeli national who died in its northern region. The body of a 21year old lady was found in the Danakil Desert in the Eastern part of Ethiopia. She is believed to have fallen into a crater from a high cliff.

Death Toll From Uganda Fuel Tanker Accident Rises to 23

The death toll from Sunday's fuel tanker accident in Western Uganda has risen to 23.

The oil tanker that was en route to the Democratic Republic of Congo from Kenya burst in to flames after it lost control and rammed  in to four commuter taxis.

Russian President Reacts to Moscow Protests in Meeting with Macron

The Russian President has spoken for the first time after weeks of protests in Moscow in support of opposition candidates who have been barred from running in the city's local elections.

Twitter, Facebook suspend accounts linked to 'Chinese misinformation campaign over Hong Kong'

Social media giants - Twitter and Facebook have taken action against what they've called a Beijing-backed disinformation campaign, targeting Hong Kong's pro-democracy protesters.

In a statement Monday, Twitter said that it had suspended over 9-hundred accounts linked to a campaign it described as 'a coordinated state-backed effort originating in China'

Uganda Fuel Tanker Accident

Intro;

 

Police in Uganda say 22 people are confirmed dead after a fuel tanker exploded into flames in the Western part of the country.

 

According to Police the driver of the fuel truck lost control and rammed into stationary cars at a busy trading Centre in Rubirizi district.

 

Investigators say the death toll from the accident is likely to go up as more people are still reported missing.

Trump downplays recession fears

U.S. President Donald Trump has downplayed concerns that the country
is heading towards a recession.

Fears of an economic contraction were sparked last week when the yield

UK GOVT REACTS TO LEAKED NO-DEAL DOCUMENT

The British Government says a leaked cabinet document, which warns of the damaging outcomes of a no-deal Brexit, is simply scaremongering.


Boris Johnson's government argues the forecast is out-of-date and looks at the worst case scenario.


This as he promised to take the UK out of the EU with or without a deal by the 31st October deadline.

UN Security Council meet on Kashmir

The United Nations Security Council has held consultations behind
