AU to deploy Volunteers to DRC for Ebola Response

The African Union is deploying more professionals to the Democratic Republic of Congo in response to the increase in Ebola cases .

The  Ministry of Health of the DRC  conforms there have been 2,438 confirmed  cases of Ebola since August 2018.

EU countries fail to reach agreement on redistributing asylum seekers

EU interior ministers have failed to reach agreement on a deal to allow asylum seekers to be shared out around the bloc, after Italy closed its ports to humanitarian ships. 

Only eight countries agreed to sign up to a plan at a summit in Paris - pushing an attempt to reach wider consensus to a summit planned for September in Malta.

Six Arrested Over Underground Attack On HK Protesters

Police in Hong Kong say they've arrested six people in connection with a violent attack at a train station that left 45 people injured.

The force remains heavily under fire for failing to prevent the rampage and turning up too late to stop the violence against anti-government protesters.

AUSTRALIA: Foreign fighter laws set to pass parliament, but....

In Australia, the federal government's push to stop foreign fighters from re-entering Australia for at least two years, looks set to pass the parliament.

Senior police officer among those killed as Shia protesters clash with Nigerian Police

Boris Johnson is expected to be announced later (in the 1000GMT hour) as the next leader of the UK Conservative Party and Prime Minister.

Conservative Party members have been voting between him and his rival, the Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

India denies Trump's claim on Kashmir mediation

India has denied President Donald Trump's claims that Prime Minister Modi asked the US to mediate in the Kashmir dispute with Pakistan.
