EU CHIEF: NO-DEAL BREXIT WOULD CAUSE "UNSPEAKABLE HARM"

The Vice-President of the EU Commission, Frans Timmermans, says he was "really surprised" that Britain had "no cunning plan" when it came to Brexit. 

Speaking following a meeting of the General Affairs Council Mr Timmermans reiterated his support for the current withdrawal agreement saying no-deal would cause "unspeakable harm."

Netflix looks to India as US subscriptions dip

Online streaming giant Netflix says it plans to launch a lower-priced subscription plan in India in a bid to grow its user base.

This at a time when the company lost over 120,000 paid subscribers in the United States during the second quarter.

G7 finance ministers reach deal on digital tax

The G7's finance ministers have agreed, at a summit in Chantilly in norther France, to fix a minimum rate of corporate tax for digital giants like Facebook and Google, in order to fight tax evasion. 

But they haven't yet agreed on what that rate should be.

DIVISIONS AMONG EU MINISTERS AT TALKS OVER MIGRANT CRISIS

India's space agency will make a second attempt to launch its latest moon mission to the lunar south pole on Monday.

Mexican drug lord 'El Chapo' sentenced to life in US prison

Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman has been sentenced to life in prison. 


El Chapo was extradited to the US in 2017 and is accused of smuggling hundreds of tons of drugs into the US.
