DRC Mines Evictions

Rights groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo have condemned the manner in which security forces evicted illegal miners from a mine owned by Anglo-Swiss company Glencore.

Clashes broke out between the miners and the police on Thursday prompting the security forces to disperse them by firing shots.
