France braces for extreme heatwave

A heat wave with temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius is expected to hit France this week.

If the mercury reaches that high it will break records for the hottest temperature in June.

India central bank deputy governor resigns

The Indian central bank's deputy governor Viral Acharya has suddenly resigned.

Georgian president welcomes Russian tourists amid standoff

Georgia's president has called for Russian tourists to continue visiting her country despite a ban on flights due to come into effect on July 8th.
