Outrage in India over two-year-old's murder

Outrage has broken out in India  over the murder of a two-year-old girl in north India.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the crime. Police say the child was strangled.

The Brexit Party has failed to win its first seat in the UK's Parliament in a by-election in Peterborough.

The Labour Party has held on to Peterborough after its previous MP there was convicted of lying about a speeding offence, triggering an election for a replacement.

The Brexit Party had hoped to see its first MP elected to Westminster after success in recent European elections, but lost out by 683 votes.

FORD TO CLOSE UK ENGINE FACILITIY

Carmaker Ford has confirmed it will close one of its UK plants in September next year.


Almost 2 thousand jobs will be lost at the facility, which Ford blames on the end of a contract to produce Jaguar Land Rover engines as well as global decline.

India says no meeting scheduled with Pakistan's Imran Khan at Bishkek

New Delhi has confirmed that Prime Minister Modi will not be meeting his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan at the sidelines of the Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek later this month.

Uganda Landslide Kills Six

Six people are confirmed dead in Uganda after several land slides swept through Bududa District in the Eastern part of the country.

 

Among the dead are 5 children and a 73-year-old woman.

German serial killer nurse convicted [UPDATE]

A German nurse has been sentenced to life in prison for killing 85 people by lethal injection.

The 42 year old man is believed to be the worst serial killer in postwar Germany history.

Verdict expected for German serial killer nurse

A German judge is expected to hand down a verdict Thursday in the case of a nurse accused of more than a hundred murders of his patients by lethal injection, many of which he's already admitted.
