Britain will take part in European Parliament Elections
The British Government has announced it will take part in European Parliament elections, despite previously saying it hoped it could get a Brexit deal agreed before the 23rd of May.
Meanwhile cross party talks with the opposition Labour Party have resumed, however now compromise on Brexit has yet been agreed

Mike Pompeo and Sergei Lavrov to meet in Russia
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to travel to Russia next week for talks with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. EX CATALAN LEADER CAN RUN IN EU ELECTIONS
The former leader of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont can run as a candidate for election to the European Parliament later this month - according to a court ruling in Madrid.
It comes after Spain's central election commission tried to block Puigdemont and two other Catalan politicians - Toni ComÃn and Clara Ponsatà - from running in EU elections.
The commission agreed because all three did not reside in Spain their names couldn't be on the ballot paper - but the latest ruling overturns this decision.

One million species at risk of extinction, says landmark UN report
One million animal and plant species - that's one in eight - are at risk of extinction, according to a report published on Monday by a global committee of scientists.

NORTH MACEDONIA ELECTION
North Macedonia's, Stevo Pendarovski supported by the ruling Social Democrats, has won a run-off presidential vote.
The first round of voting two weeks ago saw Mr. Pendarovski and his rival Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova finish neck and neck.
In the this latest election on Sunday, Stevo Pendarovski won around 52 percent of the vote - compared to Gordana Siljanovska Davkova's 45 percent.
