a way to safely return almost a million Rohingya Muslims to Myanmar.

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya fled Myanmar's northern Rakhine

Vladimir Putin to meet Kim Jong-un in Russia's Far East

Boeing suffers drop in earnings after 737 troubles

Tropical Storm Kenneth threatens southern Tanzania

Tanzanian authorities have told citizens to prepare for severe thunderstorms and flooding as tropical storm Kenneth heads towards the south of the country. 

Winds of up to 180km are expected over the next 48 hrs.

India warned Sri Lanka of attack hours before first blast

Indian intelligence officers contacted their Sri Lankan counterparts two hours before the first attack on Easter Sunday, warning them of a specific threat to churches, according to sources.

Sri Lanka's Prime Minister has admitted that the officials in the country failed to respond in time to intelligence on the attack.

The coordinated attacks have claimed 359 lives with more than 500 people wounded.

UK Government gives go-ahead to Huawei for non-core 5G infrastructure


The UK Government has given the green light for Chinese telecommunications company Huawei to supply some equipment needed for the country's 5G data network rollout.


The move is a controversial one, with suggestions that the equipment could pose a security risk. But the British government will reportedly only use Huawei infrastructure for non-core technology.

Uganda Storm Kills 18

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IMAGES

Almost half of all child sexual abuse imagery reported to the Internet Watch Foundation in 2018 were discovered in the Netherlands.


In it's annual report the organisation says over 100,000 web addresses were hosting illegal images last year.

Putin, Kim to hold first summit in Vladivostok on Thursday

Russia has confirmed that President Vladimir Putin will be meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong-un this Thursday. It will be their first meeting and comes as North Korean talks with the U.S. falter.

Royals Reportedly Planning Move to Africa

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may move to Africa as part of a major new international role following the birth of their baby. 

According to reports in the UK royal advisors at Buckingham Palace are working on a "bespoke" role for the couple which could see them relocate from their home in Windsor for up to three years.

Twitter reports more users and higher revenues

Social media website, Twitter, has posted better-than-expected quarterly revenue and an increase in the number of users.

Notre Dame could face further damage from forecast rain

Luxembourg's Grand Duke Dies


Luxembourg's Grand Duke Jean has died at the age of 98.
