Angelina Jolie says treatment of Rohingya "shames us all" in trip to Bangladesh refugee camp


Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie said the treatment of the Rohingya Muslim minority "shames us all" during a trip to a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

The camp outside Cox's Bazar in southern Bangladesh is the world's largest refugee settlement.

PM May Says She Committed to Keeping Irish Border Open

UK Prime Minister Theresa May is in Belfast, trying to calm jitters that a hard border could pop up if there's a no deal Brexit. 

On Tuesday she met with Northern Irish business leaders, Wednesday she'll meet with political parties there, and then on Thursday she'll head to Brussels to meet with EU leaders.

While speaking in Belfast, Prime Minister May said she can deliver a Brexit that will not lead to a hard border. 

But she also stressed the controversial Irish backstop needs to be amended to get support from MPs in Westminster.

Germania Airlines files for bankruptcy

German airline Germania announced that it has filed for bankruptcy and would cease operations immediately.

India records over 200 swine flu deaths in 2019

An outbreak of the H1N1 virus in India has claimed 226 lives this year.

Russian tourists in baby dangling video outrage

A video showing a man throwing his baby in the air in front of a crowd of onlookers has gone viral, and led to outrage around the world. UN says North Korea's missile programme is intact

The United Nations says North Korea's ballistic missile programme remains intact and the country is defying UN sanctions.

European Countries Recognize Venezuelan Opposition Leader

Seven European countries  have officially recognised opposition leader Juan Guaido as interim president of Venezuela. 

This comes after Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro rejected the deadline they set for new elections.

DRC VS UGANDA $10 BILLION REPARATION CASE RE-OPENS

US immigration official arrest rapper 21 Savage saying he is British

A Grammy-nominated rapper who professes to be American has been arrested by US immigration officials who say he is actually from the UK.

Officials say 21 Savage, whose given name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, came to the US as a child in 2005 and failed to leave when his visa expired a year later.

RECOVERY OPERATION AFTER SALA PLANE FOUND

The Air Accident Investigation Branch has taken over the recovery operation after the plane carrying footballer Emiliano Sala was located.

The Piper Malibu aircraft was found by a privately-funder search.

The plane carrying the Cardiff City striker and pilot David Ibbotson disappeared en route from Nantes to Cardiff on 21st January.

Its wreckage has been found off Guernsey.
