Trump Says He's Answered Special Counsel's Questions

President Trump says he's answered a set of questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The Special Counsel is investigating how Russia sought to influence the 2016 US elections. 

The President has repeatedly called the investigation a hoax.

Khmer Rouge officials convicted of Cambodian genocide

A United Nations-backed tribunal has, for the first time, convicted
two Cambodian Khmer Rouge officials of genocide.

The decision relates to the killing of almost 2 million people in the
late 1970s under dictator Pol Pot.

Judge orders White House to return CNN reporter's press pass

A US judge has sided with news network CNN in a dispute over the Trump
administration's removal of a reporter's press pass.

The White House must now return Jim Acosta's pass which was revoked
after a testy exchange between the President and the reporter at a
press conference.

The President called Acosta "a rude, terrible person" when he
initially refused to hand over the microphone.

Manual recount underway in Florida Senate race

Vote counting by hand is continuing in the US Senate race in Florida.

Incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson and Republican challenger Rick Scott are locked in an extremely tight contest.

North Korea releases and deports detained US citizen


North Korea says it's deporting a US citizen who was detained last month after crossing illegally into the hermit kingdom from China.

Pyongyang identified the man as Bruce Byron Lowrance but that's not been confirmed by US authorities.

US court documents hint of criminal charges against Julian Assange

US court documents have hinted that the country may be preparing criminal charges against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.


The document filed by US authoroties appears to have accidentally revealed the existence of sealed draft charges against Assange.


Whistleblower Assange has been living inside Ecuador's UK embassy in London since he was granted asylum in 2012.

Some EU countries are said to be unhappy with parts of the agreement including fishing rights and environmental protections.

US Senators are introducing bipartisan legislation to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia over the conflict in Yemen and the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.

The move comes after the Trump administration announced sanctions on 17 Saudis linked to Khashoggi's death.

N. Korea claims to test new "state-of-the-art" tactical weapon


North Korea claims to have successfully tested a new tactical weapon. The test comes as there appears to be growing frustration in both Washington and Pyongyang amid stalled talks.

North Korean state media called the weapon "state-of-the-art."

The report said this tactical weapon will completely protect North Korea and strengthen its army.

The report, however, didn't identify the weapon.

But it did say the project was spearheaded by Kim Jong-un's father and former leader Kim Jong-il.

The current leader hasn't publicly tested any weapons since last November.

But this latest claim by Pyongyang comes amid growing calls from the U.S. for North Korea to give up its nuclear arms.
