N. Korea claims to test new "state-of-the-art" tactical weapon

North Korea claims to have successfully tested a new tactical weapon. The test comes as there appears to be growing frustration in both Washington and Pyongyang amid stalled talks.

Bruce Harrison reports from Seoul.

North Korean state media called the weapon "state-of-the-art."

The report said this tactical weapon will completely protect North Korea and strengthen its army.

The report, however, didn't identify the weapon.

But it did say the project was spearheaded by Kim Jong-un's father and former leader Kim Jong-il.

The current leader hasn't publicly tested any weapons since last November.

But this latest claim by Pyongyang comes amid growing calls from the U.S. for North Korea to give up its nuclear arms.
