ORGANISED CRIME 'BIGGEST THREAT' TO UK CITIZENS

Serious and organized crime is costing the UK economy $48bn / 42 bn euros a year, according to latest figures.

The National Crime Agency says over 4500 serious and organised criminal groups now exist in the UK.

It claims crimes like child abuse, trafficking, and the drugs trade affect more UK citizens than all other national security threats combined.

UK Security Minister Ben Wallace says a new strategy and funding from the government will tackle the issue.

Delhi to implement 10-day emergency pollution plan

Pollution levels in India's capital have crossed seven times the permissible limit and authorities have announced a ten day long emergency action plan for the city.

Moon says Kim to 'soon' visit Seoul


South Korea President Moon Jae-in says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will soon be visiting Seoul. Kim would be the first North Korean leader to visit the South Korean capital.

According to President Moon Jae-in, leader Kim Jong-un has a busy schedule.

Speaking to South Korean parliament, Moon said Kim will soon visit Seoul but offered no other details.

Moon also said Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Kim soon in Pyongyang.

And that Kim will visit Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and possibly meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

There's also the prospect of a second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Kim.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo plans to meet North Korean officials next week to discuss a schedule for that summit.

According to local media, South Korean Intelligence officials say they've observed preparations for inspections at North Korea's main nuclear testing grounds.


North Korea claims it used explosives in May to seal underground tunnels where it tested nuclear weapons.


But many experts say it was all for show.


After visiting Pyongyang this month, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said leader Kim Jong-un promised to let inspectors in.


North Korea halted nuclear weapons and missile testing this year. But it's been criticized for keeping international inspectors out.

LION AIR FUSELAGE 'LOCATED'

Authorities in Indonesia believe they've found the possible seabed location of the Lion Air plane which crashed on Monday.

The jet came down shortly after taking off from Jakarta, with 189 people on board. No survivors were found.

Indonesia has deployed divers to search for the fuselage.

It's not clear yet what caused the Boeing 737 MAX 8 plane to crash.

US Secretary of State calls for ceasefire in Yemen and peace talks next month


US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is calling for the end of hostilities in Yemen, saying peace talks led by the United Nations should start next month.
