India defends deportation of seven Rohingyas to Myanmar

Amidst stinging global criticism for deporting seven Rohingya refugees who entered India illegally in 2012, New Delhi has defended its actions by claiming the repatriation had happened 'in accordance with established procedures and previous precedent.'

The United Nations has said India's actions violate international law while activists warn this incident may trigger more deportations.
