Catalan Demonstrators Mark 1yr Since Failed Referendum

Tensions remain high in the Spanish region of Catalonia after nearly two hundred thousand demonstrators took to the streets. 

They marked the one year anniversary of a failed referendum they hoped would lead to a clean split from Spain.

20,000 farmers protest against Indian government

Thousands of farmers are marching towards India's capital of New Delhi, demanding that the federal government waive off their farm loans.

This is only the latest in a series of protests against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government. According to government data, 52% of all farming families in India live in debt and an average Indian farmer only earns about $300 annually.

US Sues California over Net Neutrality Law

Rescuers scramble on Sulawesi as tsunami death toll grows

Anchor: Rescue workers are scrambling to find survivors in the aftermath of a tsunami on the Indonesia island of Sulawesi. The government says the death toll has reached more than 800 and it could climb into the thousands.

Indonesian TV networks offering non-stop coverage of the tsunami's wrath and recovery efforts.


A broadcast shows rescue workers digging through the rubble at the Roa Roa hotel in Palu, hoping to find survivors.


But they've mostly found more bodies in that city. Massive waves swept into Palu, triggered by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake.


The death toll has quickly doubled to more than 800, and Indonesia's vice president says it may climb into the thousands as rescue workers gain access to other hard hit areas.
