The three-day summit in Pyongyang will be South Korean President Moon Jae-in's third meeting this year with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

They agreed to rid the Korean Peninsula of nuclear weapons.
But progressed has slowed.

North Korea wants U.S.-led sanctions eased before it takes more steps toward giving up its weapons.

The U.S. wants more proof Kim is actually going to follow through.

Now, Moon has taken on the role of mediator between Pyongyang and Washington amid the stalemate.

The South Korean president says it's going to take bold steps from both Trump and Kim to achieve peace and avoid a return to military threats.
