Tough talk on Brexit over the weekend

Brexit negotiations may turn into a battle to the finish line with the European Union's chief negotiator saying he's 'strongly opposed' to some of the UK's current proposals.

But the British prime minister is insisting she won't compromise on her outline for a future trading relationship with the EU.

Syria settlement will be discussed in crunch meeting of the warring powers

President Putin will discuss a settlement over Syria with the Presidents of Turkey and Iran later this week, according to Russian state media. It comes as Syrian forces amass near the city of Idlib, which is likely to be the final major clash of the Syrian war. Dan Ashby has more.

Australia's ABC website banned in China

Australia's national public broadcaster, the ABC has had its website blocked in China.
The ABC says the block took effect about two weeks ago, and stopped users in China from visiting its site and apps.

Spread of disease sparks fears of epidemic in flood-hit Indian state of Kerala

McCain Memorial Service offers stinging rebukes to President Trump

Lobbyist Pleads Guilty

A political consultant with ties to Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort has plead guilty to illegally acting as an agent of a foreign power. 


As part of the plea agreement, Sam Patten has agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors.

US and Canadian teams in Washington are scrambling to clinch a deal on renegotiating NAFTA before a looming deadline on Friday.

The Trump administration wants Canada to join an agreement that it's already struck with Mexico by the end of the working week.

That would mean the US Congress can study the deal for 90 days before President Trump signs it, as well as allowing Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to get an agreement before he leaves office.
