LABOUR REPORTEDLY MOVING CLOSE TO IHRA

The UK opposition Labour Party's reportedly preparing to compromise on its anti-semitism code of conduct - after weeks of attention on how it's been dealing with the issue.

It's reported Labour will more closely align itself with International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance guidelines, some of which it had initially rejected.

That had led to claims the party was not doing enough to tackle anti-semitism within Labour.

Labour is understood, however, to be working on a way to include protections that allow for legitimate criticism about the creation of the state of Israel.

Former Labour special advisor Phil Richards says aligning with the IHRA is coming too late.
