Man lynched in India over suspicion of being a cow smuggler

A man was lynched in the Indian state of Rajasthan after local villagers suspected him to be a cow smuggler.

This incident comes just days after India's Supreme Court condemned mob lynchings and directed the federal government to implement measures to prevent incidents of mobocracy.

A majority of Hindus consider cows to be holy animals and in the last three years, incidents of right wing groups attacking members of minority groups on the pretext of rescuing cows have been on the rise.

Republicans in Congress to concede to Trump on ZTE


US media reports say that Republicans lawmakers have agreed to concede to President Trump's decisions on ZTE.

Some prominent Republican members of Congress had been pushing to maintain tough penalties on the Chinese telecom giant — penalties Trump had instated in April, before he reversed course in what he called a "personal" favor to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

UK PM calls for EU to rethink Brexit negotiating position over Northern Ireland

British prime minister Theresa May has called on the European Union to evolve its Brexit negotiating position - and said a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland cannot happen.

On a visit to Belfast, Mrs. May called on Brussels to engage with her White Paper - a plan for a post-Brexit customs arrangement that would see a common rulebook for trade in goods.
