UK GOVT IN DOUBT AS BREXIT MINISTER RESIGNS

The minister leading Britain's Brexit negotiations has resigned from government.

David Davis says he can't support the latest Brexit negotiating plan set out by Prime Minister Theresa May.

It's leading to renewed speculation that Brexiteer MPs in her Conservative Party may try to remove her as leader - and therefore as Prime Minister.

Indian Minister fetes eight lynching convicts

A junior minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has earned flak after he was seen honouring eight men who were convicted for lynching a cattle trader in 2017.

A mob of more than 100 cow vigilantes had hacked the cattle trader to death in the Indian state of Jharkhand on the suspicion that he was carrying beef in his car. A majority of Hindus consider the cow to be a holy animal and cow slaughter is banned in many Indian states.

Crowds cheer Russia national team

Tens of thousands of Russian football fans gathered in the World Cup Fan Zone in Moscow to thank their team, after a narrow defeat to Croatia.

Britain's Brexit Secretary steps down

In his resignation letter, David Davis cited the Prime Minister's approach to so-called 'Brexit', for which she won cabinet support at the end of last week.

British woman died after contact with nerve agent

British police have announced that a woman exposed to the nerve agent Novichok has died.

As a result, detectives have launched a murder investigation.

Beijing and Moscow hit back after US tariffs imposed


Beijing and Moscow have responded to $34 billion dollars worth of tariffs imposed on Chinese goods by the US government.

The long-expected tariffs came into effect on Friday.

California wildfires: Governor declares state of emergency


The latest wildfire in Northern California has led the governor to declare a state of emergency.

The "Klamathon" blaze near the border with Oregon has destroyed an unknown number of structures and prompted hundreds of evacuations.

Job Growth Continues in the United States

The number of Americans in employment rose by 213,000 in June according to official data.

CCTV footage proves Delhi mass suicide theory

Police officers investigating the mass suicide of a family of eleven in New Delhi say that CCTV footage recovered from outside their house proves that the hangings were premeditated.
