Growing outrage over separation of families at US border

Trump administration assailed over separation of illegal immigrant children from families

The Trump administration is defending itself against growing criticism over its policy of forcibly separating the children of illegal immigrants from their parents.

RYANAIR CALLS FOR ALCOHOL LIMITS AT AIRPORTS

Budget airline Ryanair is calling for new restrictions on the sale of alcohol at airports.

Australia begins trade negotiations with the EU

Thomas Markle says he's 'upset' by the fact he was a 'footnote' to her marriage to Prince Harry last month.

MAY UNDER PRESSURE OVER NHS 'BREXIT DIVIDEND'

UK Prime Minister Theresa May's under increasing pressure to explain exactly how she'll pay for plans to boost health funding by $26bn a year by 2023.

She says the National Health Service in England will have to ensure 'every penny' of the extra funds will be well spent.

India joins EU & China, imposes retaliatory tariffs on America

India has become the latest nation to impose retaliatory tariffs on the United States.

In a letter to the World Trade Organisation, the Indian government has said that it plans to increase tariffs on 30 items imported from the United States, a move that will rake in an additional $240 million.

Donald Trump's former election campaign chairman, Paul  Manafort, has been sent to jail to await trial on a variety of corruption charges.

Mannafort's bail was revoked after evidence emerged of attempts to contact witnesses and another defendant involved in his case.

US strike kills Pakistani Taliban leader

A US drone strike has killed a Pakistani Taliban leader, on the Afghan side of the border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

He was the leader of a group that's separate from the Afghan Taliban, which the US has been battling since 2011 but with which it agreed to a ceasefire this month.
