A minute's silence has been held across the UK to mark the one year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire which claimed the lives of 72 people in west London.
A number of religious services, vigils, marches and other events are being held across the country, but particularly in London where the local community say they have been celebrating their unity after the tragedy.
Through the night the remains of the tower block, 10 Downing Street, the London Eye and other apartment buildings were lit up in green, the color that has come to symbolize the Grenfell disaster.
The anniversary comes as many Grenfell residents continue to grapple with rebuilding their lives as Olly Barratt reports from west London.
