UK PM MAY UNDER RENEWED PRESSURE OVER BREXIT

UK Prime Minister Theresa May is under pressure from both sides of her own party over her government's Brexit legislation - with renewed speculation about her leadership.

On Tuesday she avoided a damaging defeat in the House of Commons by promising potential rebels more discussions on the issue of MPs getting a say on any Brexit deal with the EU.

They say she must offer concessions - but pro-Brexit MPs say she must not.

Sources on both sides suggest they may challenge her leadership if she breaches their trust.

Brexiteer MP Jacob Rees-Mogg says giving MPs the power to reject a Brexit deal with Brussels would be a mistake.
