Zuckerberg hearing in Brussels will now be live streamed online

A hearing with the head of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg at the European Parliament in Brussels will now streamed live online.

The initial plan to hold the hearing behind closed doors had come under heavy criticism across Europe.

Australian MP introduces bill to stop live sheep export to Middle east

An Australian government MP says it's a test of humanity to "stop the
ships of shame" and stamp out long-haul live sheep exports.
Sussan Ley from New South Wales has introduced a private members bill to
parliament to stop the live export of sheep to the middle east calling
the process inhumane.
Ms Ley is a former sheep farmer and told the parliament she's talked the
talk and walked the walk defending the live export trade, and it's time
to stop.

GRENFELL INQUIRY OPENS

The public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower disaster is opening in London.

Families of those who died in the disaster have the chance to make statements to the inquiry as it opens.

Grenfell Tower caught fire on June 14th 2017, leading to 72 deaths.

After the initial commemoration hearings, the inquiry will start taking evidence from other individuals, organisations and expert witnesses.

Venezuela votes in controversial presidential election

Venezuela is holding a controversial presidential election, despite economic and political turmoil in the country. 

Incumbent Nicolas Maduro is expected to win, but his presidency is unlikely to be recognized by foreign governments, including those in the U.S. and the European Union.

Trump demands Department of Justice inquiry into "FBI informant"


President Trump says he will insist on an investigation into whether his 2016 election campaign was put under FBI surveillance for political purposes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have tied the knot at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, in a very modern royal wedding ceremony.


Alongside the traditional prayers and hymns, were contemporary songs performed by a gospel choir and an animated reading by US preacher Michael Curry.

Harry and Meghan exchange vows to become husband and wife



The wedding of Britain's Prince Harry to Meghan Markle has taken place the town of Windsor.   The now become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. 


The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony which saw a mix of hymns, gospel and classical music.    The Royal Family have been joined by Meghan's mother Doria Ragland as well as celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, David Beckham and George and Amal Clooney.


Tens of thousands of people have gathered in Windsor for the event with around one billion people expected to watch the televised event. 


The wedding was overseen by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who led the couple in their vows.

School Shooting in Texas: 10 Dead, Suspect Charged

A 17-year-old, Dimitrios Pagourtzis, has been charged with capital murder following a school shooting at Sante Fe High School in Texas.

Ten have been killed and ten injured.

An 18-year-old has also been detained and is being questioned.

Police are also cautiously searching several locations, including the school, where the devices have been left.

Gunman opens fire at Trump owned golf club

A man has been arrested at a Florida resort owned by President Trump after allegedly exchanging gunfire with police.

Authorities say 42-year-old Jonathan Oddi is suspected of opening fire in the lobby of the Trump National Doral Golf Club.

He was shot several times by officers and was taken to hospital.
