Russia blames Israel for Syrian airbase strike

Russia is blaming Israel for an airstrike on an airfield in Syria.

According to Russia's defense ministry, Syrian forces were able to intercept 5 out of 8 missiles fired by Israeli fighter jets.

Runaway train in India, accident narrowly avoided

India's railway ministry has said that a potentially disastrous accident was narrowly avoided after a runaway train carrying hundreds of passengers rolled backwards for several kilometres without an engine.

RPTS: North Korea ready to discuss denuclearisation at Trump-Kim summit

For the first time, North Korea has told the US directly that it is ready to talk about denuclearization, this according to reports citing a US official.

Trump and Macron agree to 'strong, joint response' over Syrian chemical attack

President Trump and his French counterpart say they will coordinate a strong and joint response to the alleged Chemical weapon attack in Syria.

The two leaders spoke on the phone hours after Trump condemned reports that dozens of civilians had been killed east of the Syrian capital.

Trump says "Animal Assad" has "big price to pay" over chemical attack

President Trump says Syrian leader Bashar al Assad has a "big price to pay" after claims that the Syrian army has again used chemical weapons in the rebel-held east of the country.

The President slammed Russia and Iran for backing the man he referred to as "Animal Assad".

UPDATE - Van attacker was a German citizen

A man drove a van into a crowd of people in the German city of Muenster killing at least three people, before  shooting himself.

Local authorities have now said that the man was a German citizen.

Trade tensions mount between US and China

UK doctors: Sergei Skripal improving rapidly, no longer critical

Doctors in Britain say the the Russian former spy Sergei Skripal is no longer in a critical condition.

Ex-Catalonian leader released from German jail

Carles Puigdemont, the former leader of Spain's Catalonia region, has been released from a German jail after a court dismissed the charges of rebellion sought by the Spain for his role in last year's Catalonian independence referendum.

Cholera Outbreak Kills 40 Congolese Refugees
