Former EU president exposed for lobbying EU Commission despite saying he wouldn't

It's been revealed that the former president of the European Commission has lobbied the current EU executive on behalf of his new employer Goldman Sachs despite promising he wouldn't.

The only details know about the meeting are that trade and defense matters were discussed.

Jose Manuel Barroso (Pron: Bah-Ross-Oh) lead the EU commission between 2004 and 2014 and sparked controversy when he took a position at Goldman Sachs in 2016.

German SPD party members begin vote on coalition

US AND UK DISCUSS FATE OF 'BEATLES' TERROR SUSPECTS

The US and UK are in talks about how to deliver justice to two men from London detained in Syria, suspected of being members of an Islamic State cell known as 'the Beatles.'

The UK wants Allexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh to go on trial.

They're accused of being members of a four-strong ISIS cell which killed western hostages.

It's reported they've been stripped of their British citizenship and the US is thought to be considering sending them to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Indian government denies snubbing Canadian Prime Minister

Funerals of church shooting victims in Russia

A day of mourning will be held in the town of Kizylar in the Dagestan region of Russia, for five women who were shot dead in an attack on a church on Sunday. An Archbishop has given permission for the victims to be buried as 'martyrs', in the grounds of the church where they died. Lucy Taylor reports from Moscow.

Florida students to lead gun control push

OXFAM PUBLISHES ABUSE REPORT
