Multiple injuries reported in Florida High School shooting

It's reported there have been several victims in a mass shooting at a Florida school.


The gunman is reported to be at large, and a huge emergency response in underway just north of Fort Lauderdale.

Zimbabwe opposition leader Tsvangirai dies at age 65

Zimbabwe's main opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has died in South Africa.

The 65-year-old former prime minister was being treated in hospital for colon cancer. 

Tsvangirai led the opposition Movement for Democratic Change, and was imprisoned and injured numerous times during a long struggle against former president Robert Mugabe.

Professor Stephen Chan of the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies says Tsvangirai should be remembered as a brave, if flawed, politician.

Northern Ireland talks collapse with no agreement

Talks to restore Northern Ireland's power sharing assembly have broken up with the Democratic Unionist Party, the DUP, saying they see no current prospect of reaching agreement.

Scientists discover new promising antibiotic to fight superbugs

US plan for Middle East peace 'fairly advanced'

Aid trucks reach besieged Syrian suburb

Zuma refuses to resign

Johnson says the case for Brexit must continue to be made to bring along those sceptical of leaving the EU

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says the UK's departure from the EU is a cause for "hope not fear."   In a speech billed as an olive branch to the millions of Briton's who voted to remain part of the European block, Mr Johnson urged people to rally around an outward-looking and confident UK.


It's the first in a series of speeches by British Prime Minister Theresa May and senior ministers on what's being called the road to Brexit.
