UK GOVT: BREXIT 'IMPACT RESEARCH' IS INCOMPLETE

Leaked UK government documents predict the British economy will grow more slowly outside the EU - under any deal scenario.

The analysis suggests economic growth over the next 15 years could be 8% lower than if the UK was staying in the bloc.

However, the government insists the studies are incomplete and do not take into account the type of exit arrangement it hopes to reach with Brussels.

The opposition Labour Party says the research should be published and debated in Parliament.

But Brexit minister Steve Baker says the documents are being wrongly seized upon by politicians who want Britain to stay in the EU.

Washington official slams proposal for gov’t-run 5G network

The head of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has slammed a proposal by the Trump administration to build a government-run 5G network.

This comes as a report by the news website Axios said that Trump's national security team had suggested a government-run network in order to help protect US networks from Chinese cyber-attacks.

Any nationalization of such a key portion of the U.S. telecommunications sector would be seen as a radical departure from existing policy.
