Pres. Trump rejects immigrants from "s***hole countries"

U.S. President Donald Trump rejected an proposal to admit immigrants from countries he described using disparaging and scatalogical terms, the Washington Post reports.

The White House has not denied that the President used foul language in reference in Haiti, El Salvador and African nations.

The White House has been struggling with mixed messages on immigration and how to reform a system which still hasn't addressed the estimated 11 million living in the U.S. without proper papers.

Number of dead and missing rises in US mudslides

Rescuers are frantically searching for survivors after massive
mudslides in Southern California.

So far 17 are known to have died and eight people are still missing.

Canada reportedly expecting US NAFTA withdrawal

Global stock and currency markets are reacting to news the Trump administration may be preparing to withdraw from the North American Free Trade Agreement.

The Canadian government is reported to see an increasing chance the US will give a six-month notice that it plans to leave the bloc.

Ecuador grants nationality to Julian Assange

The Ecuadorean government says it has granted Julian Assange citizenship, more than five years after providing asylum for the Wikileaks founder in its London embassy.

Poland says Kaczyński’s plane crash-landed in Russia because of explosion

Poland says the plane carrying former Polish President Lech Kaczyński and top members of the Polish government, crashed because of an internal explosion. A manhunt continues in Paris after an armed robbery on a jewellery shop at the Ritz Hotel in the French capital.
