Former South American soccer official acquitted in FIFA bribery trial [CLIPS]

The former president of Peru's soccer federation has been acquitted of
corruption charges.

Manuel Burga was one of three former South American football officials
accused of being part of the ongoing FIFA bribery scandal.

The other two men were found guilty last week of committing wire fraud
and racketeering.

28 witnesses testified during the five week trial in which prosecutors

U.S. claims credit for United Nations budget cut

The United States is taking credit for trimming $285 million from the
United Nations budget.

The move comes days after the U.S. said it would take names of those

Trump returns to Twitter to blast FBI over Russia dossier

Russian opposition leader barred from challenging Putin in election

The Russian Central election commission has rejected Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny's bid to register as a candidate in next year's Presidential vote.  The commission said it was due to a suspended prison sentence that Navalny was handed earlier this year.  Julia Lyubova has more.

Guatemala will move Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv

The President of Guatemala, Jimmy Morales, says he's moving the country's Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.


The move comes just days after Guatemala backed a similar decision by US President Donald Trump at the United Nations.

UK TO RETURN TO 'ICONIC' BLUE PASSPORT

The UK's announced it will return to what it says is an 'iconic' blue passport once the country leaves the EU.

Anyone renewing or applying for a new passport after October 2019 will receive a blue version - rather than the burgundy adopted after Britain joined the European Union.
