Pres. Trump denies he's planning to fire Special Counsel


President Trump ha denied rumours he's planning to fire the Special Counsel in charge of the Russia Probe.

This comes as conservatives attack Robert Mueller's criminal investigation into alleged Russia interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump associates were colluding with the Kremlin.

ARREST OVER UK EMBASSY WORKER MURDER IN LEBANON

A man's reportedly been arrested in Lebanon after a British embassy worker was found dead.

Rebecca Dykes's body was discovered by a motorway on Saturday.

She'd been working at the UK embassy in Beirut for the Department for International Development.

Early trends indicate win for Indian PM Modi in the state of Gujarat

The trends for the elections in the Indian state of Gujarat indicate that the BJP will win the state but not as comfortably as it envisaged. India's main opposition party the Congress has given the BJP a stiff fight.

The numbers so far indicate a drop in the BJP's vote share and an increase in the Congress'- a boost for the opposition.

Power outage at world's busiest airport affects thousands of travelers [CLIPS]

A power outage at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson- the world's busiest
airport has resulted in over a thousand flights being cancelled.

The airport accommodates over 250,000 passengers on a daily basis and
the power cut left many in dark terminals or stuck aboard planes.

It's believed that a fire at an electrical facility caused the outage
and Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed says he's sorry for what happened.

UN to vote on U.S. Jerusalem move

The United Nations Security Council is expected to vote Monday on a
draft resolution calling for the United States to reverse its decision
to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The decision made by President Donald Trump earlier this month has
been widely criticized with Palestinian officials calling the move a
violation of international law.

Firefighter killed in Californian wildfires as winds intensify

Weather conditions in Southern California are continuing to fuel the
flames of the fourth largest fire in Californian history.

The Thomas fire has decimated close to a thousand buildings and
firefighters say strong winds are still creating problems in the area.
One firefighter has died in the blaze.

US AG Sessions defends FBI

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is defending the Federal Bureau of Investigation after U.S. President Donald Trump repeated claims that there's great anger and shame about what's happening at the agency.

More than a week ago, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media that the reputation of the FBI was in tatters, a reflection of his frustration at the continuing investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Pres. Trump now says he supports FBI


Shortly after saying there's lots of anger at the FBI, during a graduation ceremony U.S. Preident Donald Trump promised his has the agents' backs.

Ten days ago, in a series of posts on social media, the American president lashed out, saying the FBI's reputation is in tatters, the worst in history.

Tillerson: North Korea talks only possible after nuclear program ends

The US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said North Korea must end
its nuclear program before talks can begin.

It's a reversal of his comments earlier this week that negotiations
were possible "without preconditions" - something the White House
disagreed with.
